The sky this morning was almost magical with the clouds. The blues, slight pink, and yellow really sparkled. Did anyone else see it? The next color is yellow. My mom’s favorite color. She has this yellow blouse that looks great with her olive skin and when she wears her hair in a high ponytail she is just so bubbly and full of life! Love you, Mom! Lots of flowers come in yellow, including the annoying dandelions that are right now throughout our backyard lawn! The field grass also gets tiny yellow flowers, not sure what they are though. Yellow is an important color for safety. “Yellow means slow down, Sam. Not speed up!” (extra points if you know the movie quote and who said it!) Yellow flags at the beach are a warning that the currents are moderate and weak swimmers should avoid the area. Yellow is also a warning between green and red that the traffic in that way should be slowing down (hence the quote above…does that hint help anyone with the quote and character?) There is also a yellow label on my favorite hand lotion. Sheena’s bedroom walls are yellow. In fact, Mom went back to the store a bunch of times to get the color just right. It’s definitely a custom color and it’s fun that it looks great in Sheena’s room both in Escondido before we moved and here in Idaho!
