Color Series: Orange

You might be thinking, why did she start with ORANGE? It’s not near Halloween. It’s not even harvest time. Well, I start where my inspiration came from. The cute oranges we have on our kitchen counter. ORANGE is not only a color but it’s a fruit. ORANGEs are usually sweet though I have eaten a few that were extremely sour! (insert sucked in face here) Here where I live in Idaho ORANGE signifies the local Boise State University. Most locals probably have a sweatshirt, t-shirt, or have at least seen one. Here are some other inspirations about ORANGE: ORANGE roses symbolize enthusiasm and passion, commonly given to celebrate new beginnings. Now, isn’t that interesting? New beginnings and ORANGE was the first pick in this color series. Hmmm! Okay, moving on. ORANGE symbolizes creativity! For a writing blog, that’s a pretty cool one. I’m getting pretty hyped about this writing series now. And don’t get me started on the sweets you can make and/or enjoy with ORANGE. Cookies, cakes, bars, breads, scones, or tropical drinks. Then there is ORANGE construction cones, ORANGE recycling bin lids (at least here in Ada County), ORANGE in the sunset at a specific moment today, and an ORANGE plastic ice cream bowl I saw on my walk this morning. ORANGE sherbet anyone? And oh, if you know me, I pair everything with chocolate. ORANGEs and chocolate! Wow! Is anyone else getting hungry? Sorry about that.

What are your thoughts on ORANGE? And what color do you want to see next?
